PROJECT
What's the clown's point of view of the natural and creative world in crisis? You’re invited to an intimate encounter with a bereft clown. EnCLOWNter with joy is a poetic, interactive pop-up experience between you and a clown set outdoors. It is played out for spectators of one at a time, from the moment the clown opens the velvet rope and invites you to sit next to her to a curtain call. You play the role of ‘joy’ as you take part in a playful dialogue and observe the natural landscape. DATES Watch this space for announcements. DETAILS Audience + Capacity: 1-5 people at a time. It is suitable for all ages, even dogs. Duration: No longer than 5-10 minutes per audience member. Location: Any unusual, interesting spaces and venues such as parks, factories, RSLs, parking lots, shopfronts, basements, alleyways. CREATIVES Concept and performance by Alicia Gonzalez. SUPPORTED BY Inner West Sydney Council. First performed at The GreenWay Iron Cove Bay at Lilyfield Sydney in 2021. PHOTOGRAPHY Shane Rozario and Jane Curtis |
